The cult indie rocker with a cover version and interesting guests Only two years after his last album "Low in High School", Morrissey returns in 2019 with a new album: 'California Son'. Instead of his own compositions, the British cult indie rocker and former lead singer of the Smiths covers songs by great idols such as Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs and Roy Orbison, Joni Mitchell and Carly Simon. "California Son" features a total of twelve tracks. In addition, you'll also hear several special guests on the record: Green Day frontman Billie John Armstrong, lead singer of LP, Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear, Ariel Engle of Broken Social Scene, Petra Haden, Sameer Gadhia of Young The Giant and Lydia Night of The Regrettes. As with the previous album, production was handled by producer Joe Chiccarelli. The singer provided the first taste of "California Son" with his new interpretation of Roy Orbison's "It's Over". Morrissey with an interesting song selection and an equally interesting guest list: here's the new cover of "California Son".
