This new work is now released on CD for the first time. Another special feature of this release is the Concerto in E flat major WoO 4, as it is actually performed in historical sound, on a piano from 1806. And in the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 2 in B flat major, Op. 19, the artistic development of the young Beethoven into an independent Viennese classicist with a distinctive, harmonically rich tone is impressively heard.
