World premiere recording of the completed Beethoven Piano Concerto No.6 with Sophie-Mayuko Vetter Sophie-Mayuko Vetter gives us a world premiere on this album: Nicolas Cook & Hermann Dechant have completed and reconstructed approximately 70 pages of surviving sketches for Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 6 in D major (unv.). This new work is now released on CD for the first time. Another special feature of this release is the Concerto in E flat major WoO 4, as it is actually performed in historical sound, on a piano from 1806. And in the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 2 in B flat major, Op. 19, the artistic development of the young Beethoven into an independent Viennese classicist with a distinctive, harmonically rich tone is impressively heard.
