Louis Armstrong: Louis Armstrong: Live In Germany NUM | LTD version on vinyl LP in individually numbered limited edition. This particular edition was published in publishing company Dot Time Records on 18. December 2020.
After a sojourn in Europe in the 1930s and a major tour in 1949, Louis Armstrong did not come to Germany to perform until 1952. This year also saw the further development of his All Stars formation. Arvell Shaw returned on bass and Cozy Cole on drums. New members were clarinetist Bob McCracken, pianist Marty Napoleon and trombonist Trummy Young, who had put their musical stamp on the band in the 1950s. Armstrong was particularly remembered by the German audience at the Berlin concert, who particularly celebrated his version of "My Bucket's Got a Hole In It".
