French-Canadian writer Leonard Cohen, born in 1934, has always brought a very personal reflection of his own experiences to his long plays - as in the case of "I'm Your Man", published in 1988, which was his first musical expression after a three-year studio and concert hiatus. His new opus was received all the more enthusiastically by his fans. Much of the credit for this, of course, goes to the poignant songs that the master has now performed after 36 months of inner contemplation on the Greek island of Hydra, including the exquisitely brilliant "First We Take Manhattan", "Everybody Knows" and "Tower Of Song".
