Lacuna Coil's new live album, Live from the Apocalypse, is the result of an unprecedented period. Unlike their previous live albums - Visual Karma (Body, Mind and Soul) (2008), Shallow Live: Acoustic at Criminal Records (2010) and The 119 Show - Live in London (2018) - the Italians under the yoke of the pandemic have found a clever way for their loyal fan base to hear and see them on stage, by hosting a special live show to unveil their latest album Black Anima in September 2020. By all accounts, this was no ordinary concert. Although Lacuna Coil performed in their hometown of Milan - at the famous Alcatraz club - no fans came to welcome them. No roar of anticipation, no admiring applause, no interaction with the people who, over two decades, have grown deeply into Lacuna Coil's music and live performances and have come to love them deeply. The energy of the live broadcast was different. It had to be. With their hearts in the right place, with cameras and the world tuned in online, Lacuna Coil brought "Black Anima: Live from the Apocalypse" to life. To commemorate the event, Lacuna Coil and Century Media are now releasing this live stream on CD/DVD and LP/DVD under the title "Live from the Apocalypse".
