The reputation of the 1972/74 King Crimson line-up stems from concerts like this one, which was created right at the mixing desk. After reforming in July 1972, the band played three nights at the Zoom Club in Frankfurt and made a televised appearance at the German Beat Club in October before embarking on a UK tour. This album contains the fourth concert from that tour, as well as material later included on the album "Larks' Tongues in Aspic", recorded the following January, and King Crimson's most passionate (and longest) improvisations. This album documents the most famous concert footage of the entertaining but legendary King Crimson quintet.
