The album "Boom Chicka Boom" was released in February 1990 and is Johnny Cash's 76th album and his fifth on Mercury Records. The title refers to the sound supposedly produced by Cash's backing band, the Tennessee Three. It includes a cover version of Harry Chapin's "Cat's in the Cradle" and the song "Hidden Shame", which Elvis Costello wrote specifically for Cash. The album charted at number 48 on the country charts. Elvis Presley's old backing band, The Jordanaires, sings on the album. The LP reissue of the album, remastered for the first time from the original Mercury master tapes, is pressed on 180g vinyl to ensure the highest quality and fidelity.
