On November 6, 2020, the day after his 40th birthday, musician and composer Ibrahim Maalouf presents his 12th studio album, "40 Melodies," a reference to his 40 birthday candles. The album is quite different from the artist's previous projects, as for the first time in his 15-year discography, Ibrahim presents an intimate duo with his friend and companion of more than a decade, Belgian guitarist François Delporte. The duo revisits Ibrahim's tunes that have left their mark on his albums and soundtracks, as well as some previously unreleased tracks. All this with the participation of a number of well-known guests (Sting, Matthieu Chedid, Marcus Miller, Alfredo Rodriguez, Richard Bona, Trilok Gurtu, Hüsnü Senlendrici, Jon Batiste, Arturo Sandoval and many others). Ibrahim thus returns to his beginnings and to the essentials: trumpet, guitar and 40 songs to celebrate his 40th birthday. The LP includes 10 songs from the double CD and a bonus track.
