Political, personal, hopeful: the new Erasure album Vince Clarke and Andy Bell aka Erasure have long since achieved cult status in their 30-year career. But that doesn't mean the British synth-pop duo are resting on their laurels in 2017. On the contrary: with "World Be Gone", they now present their new 17th studio album. Ten songs await the follow-up to 2014's The Violet Flame. Content-wise, Erasure focuses on current political issues, which seem less hopeless in "World Be Gone" than its title suggests. It doesn't forget personal themes such as love, as evidenced by the first single "Love You To The Sky". Erasure wrote all the songs for their new album themselves. Sound engineer Matty Green was responsible for the mixing of the album. As timely, but as hopeful and melodic as ever: the new Erasure album "World Be Gone".
