New album in a new guise After Erasure released 'The Neon' in 2019, the British synthpop duo have announced a remix album 'The Neon Remixed' for 2021. "The Neon" is the 18th studio album from Vince Clarke and Andy Bell. It charted at number four in the UK chart and number eleven in the German chart, making it Erasure's highest charting album since their sixth album "I Say I Say" in 1994. For the remix record, the band brought in a number of musician friends, DJs and producers. They gave a total of 17 remixes to songs from the original. Artists include OMD keyboardist and vocalist Paul Humphreys, production legend Gareth Jones, Kim Ann Foxman, Hifi Sean, Octo Octa, Brixxtone and Theo Kottis. For a full track listing and all the artists who contributed to 'The Neon Remixed', see below. Also a highlight of the record is the brand new Erasure song "Secrets". The thunderous synth-pop anthem was released as a single back in May and has already received a Kim Ann Foxman-assisted "Heaven Mix" arrangement. The musician called it an honor to be allowed to do the remix for Erasure. Like "The Neon", "The Neon Remixed" will be released on UK label Mute Records. The album will be released as a doubleCD and also as a double-LP on Transparent Amber and Yellow Glow vinyl. PS: The original album "The Neon" can be found here.
