A deluxe 3-CD package featuring the most comprehensive collection of songs from Elvis Presley's early years ever available; all of Sun's famous masters and outtakes; live recordings; radio recordings; recordings of Elvis' first self-financed acetate records; recently discovered and previously unreleased recordings; and much more. Includes a 120-page booklet with rare photographs and memorabilia, a breakdown of key events in this phase of his career, and essays describing Elvis's early years between 1954 and 1955. The release of A Boy From Tupelo - The Complete 1953-55 Recordings has been hard at work. More than 1,500 hours were devoted to restoring the recordings, with nearly 200 additional hours in the studio invested in painstakingly remastering the material. The result sounds breathtaking. Ernst Mikael Jørgensen is the producer, researcher and concept artist of the project. Disc 1 contains the masters recorded at Sun Studio, several alternate versions and the four aforementioned songs that Elvis Presley paid for out of his own pocket. Disc 2 contains all known outtakes up to song fragments. Disc 3 contains all known live and radio recordings.
