Ella put her unique stamp on all the tracks, from sultry vamps like "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" to the sweet and cozy "The Christmas Song." Even potentially hackneyed standards like "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" sound fresher when sung by Ella Fitzgerald. This Christmas recording by Ella is a classic, but until now has only been available on CD in its best form.
