Elbow: "The Take Off And Landing Of Everything" - new studio album by rock band The British rock band from Manchester has released their sixth studio album. Elbow's fourth album, "The Seldom Seen Kid," has gone multi-platinum and the band's fifth LP, "Build A Rocket Boys!" also crossed the platinum threshold. Now their new sixth album, "The Take Off And Landing Of Everything" continues the triumphant campaign of one of the best British bands of our time. On the new album, the award-winning storytellers raise the bar even higher: the record deals with big themes and is highly experimental. In an interview with Q Magazine, singer and frontman of the five-piece Guy Garvey said. The band's frontman traveled to New York for six months to get inspiration for the album's lyrics. "When I walk around New York, I feel like my antennae are sticking out. I keep my ears open for snippets of amazing conversations," explains Guy Garvey. He adds: "In Manhattan, I always feel like at any moment someone is going to put something into circulation that will change the world." So the first single from the new album is logically called "New York Morning." The music on "The Take Off And Landing Of Everything" is more intimate than on previous albums. This long player, like all the band's previous albums, is a sonic marvel, and at the same time, exquisite and subtle. Review: "Once again, the Brits embrace the world with their prog-indie rock." (Rolling Stone, March 2014) , "With album number 6, British soft-rockers Elbow have managed to create a wonderfully unadorned analogy for life on the brink of madness - inspired by the world's busiest city." (Audio, April 2014) "Moods and melodies come and go like the tides, interspersed with detailed interludes and flourishes. Majestically sublime and mournful at the same time, only Elbow can sound like this." (Good Times, April/May 2014) , "Elegant, with lush-sounding strings, sparsely spaced beats, polyphonic vocals, guitars, warm timbres and dissonances interspersed only in homeopathic doses, Elbow show once again that they are probably the better Coldplay." (Stereo Play, April 2014)
