Po působivém debutovém albu "+" vydal Ed Sheeran své druhé album "X". Stejně jako jeho předchůdce i druhý LP počin nabízí plytký zpěvák/songwriter pop, který však zní o něco více městsky. Brit ve svých písních skvěle pracuje s obecnými i osobními pocity - "Afire Love" je toho dobrým příkladem.
"X" je krásně zaoblená deska a přesně to, co od Eda Sheerana jeho fanoušci rádi slyší.

Na nové desce se podílela řada producentských veličin: Rick Rubin (Eminem, Jay-Z, Red Hot Chili Peppers), Pharrell Williams (Daft Punk, Robin Thicke), Benny Blanco (Rihanna), Jeff Bhasker (Alicia Keys, Jay-Z), Johnny McDaid (Snow Patrol) a Jake Gosling (který byl zodpovědný už za debutové album Eda Sheerana).

První vydaný singl "Sing" feat. Pharrell Williams se po pouhých 4 týdnech v rádiích dostal do Top 30 hitparád.
