Making Movies is the second album by British rock band Dire Straits , released in 1980. The album was recorded at AIR Studios in London and produced by Mark Knopfler and Neil Dorfsman. The album reached number 3 on the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on the US Billboard 200. The first single from the album, "Romeo and Juliet", reached #2 on the UK Singles Chart. The second single from the album, "Skateaway", charted at number 19 on the UK Singles Chart.
