Debutové album "Sophisticated Boom Boom" vyšlo na jaře 1984. LP bylo směsicí Hi-NRG disca a new wave zvuku. Přibližně ve stejné době se do britské hitparády dostal také singl 'That's the Way (I Like It)', původně od KC & Sunshine Band. Velký úspěch se však dostavil až po přechodu k producentskému týmu Stock Aitken Waterman. Na konci roku 1984 se jejich singl 'You Spin Me Round' (Like A Record) dostal do britské hitparády a krátce nato se stal nejprodávanějším (USA č. 11). Sedmé a poslední studiové album 'Fragile' vyšlo v roce 2000, ale pouze v Japonsku, dokud nebylo v roce 2016 zařazeno do obsáhlého boxu.
