Audiophile repress from 1983: The second album by the Scottish guitar pop group. Although it contains two classic tracks, "Sugar Hiccup" and "Musette And Dreams", the second album, "Head Over Heels", originally released in 1983, is probably the Cocteau Twins' most difficult to find work. But if you're patient enough to immerse yourself in these fascinating sounds, you'll be richly rewarded; each song is a small, melancholic, dreamy work of art that wants to be discovered in its own right. "Head Over Heels" was created as a pure duet between Elizabeth Fraser (vocals) and Robin Guthrie (guitar, bass, drums) because the third founding member, bassist Will Heggie, joined the alternative band Lowlife shortly before the album was recorded. After touring the UK with OMD in late 1982/83 and collaborating with This Mortal Coil, among others, the groundwork was laid for the release of a successful album - "Head Over Heels" was the launching signal for a decade whose sound the Cocteau Twins would decisively shape. The remastered reissue comes on 180gram vinyl with a download code.
