New Jersey is the third studio album by American rock band Bon Jovi , released on September 19, 1988. The album was produced by Bruce Fairbairn and was recorded at Little Mountain Sound Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is the band's first album to feature keyboardist David Bryan and drummer Tico Torres. The album was a commercial success, reaching number one in the United States, Canada and Australia and selling over 14 million copies worldwide. The album was certified seven times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and was nominated for a Grammy Award. The first single from the album, "I'll Be There for You", reached number one in the United States and Canada and the second single from the album, "Bad Medicine", reached number one in the United States, Canada and Australia. The album New Jersey is cited as one of the most influential albums of the 1980s and has been included on several lists of the greatest albums of all time. In 2009, the album was re-released in a deluxe edition with remastered sound and bonus content.
