"Odelay" is the critically acclaimed fifth studio album by American musician Beck, released on June 18, 1996. The album showcases a diverse blend of musical styles, including alternative rock, hip-hop, country, and funk, marking a significant departure from the stripped-down folk style of his previous album, "One Foot in the Grave." "Odelay" features a collection of eclectic tracks that have contributed to its enduring popularity and influence. Among these tracks are the hit singles "Devil's Haircut" and "Where It's At," both of which received considerable airplay and helped propel the album to commercial success. Other notable songs include "The New Pollution," "Jack-Ass," and "Sissyneck." The production work of the Dust Brothers adds a layered, sample-heavy sound that complements Beck's innovative songwriting.
