"Yours Truly" is the debut album by American singer Ariana Grande. The album was released on 3. September 2013 on Republic Records. The R&B-influenced "Yours Truly" was influenced by Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey. Grande describes the first half of the album as a "throwback" to '90s R&B music and the second half as "very unique and very special, which I kind of wrote," which is brand new. Ariana Grande co-wrote six of the twelve tracks and recorded many of the songs for the album over a three-year period. She collaborated on it with Big Sean, Mika and Mac Miller. Other genres such as Adult Contemporary and Dancemusic occasionally appear on the album.
