The album Amazing Grace, originally released in 1972, immediately hit the top ten of the Billboard charts upon its release, becoming one of the best-selling gospel albums of all time and, of course, one of the most successful albums by the "Queen of Soul". It has sold over 2 million copies in the US alone and the artist has won 18 Grammy Awards, which is incredible! The album was recorded in a large Baptist church with an enthusiastic and enthusiastic audience in the pews and a full funk band and the Southern California Community Choir under the direction of Aretha's mentor, Reverend James Cleveland. Her voice is melodic and full of the most intense emotion, yet clear and controlled - a direct herald of the Holy Spirit. Aretha's father, the distinguished preacher Rev. C. L.
