Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Violin Concertos version on CD in Standard edition. This particular edition was published in Germany in publishing company Deutsche Grammophon on 22. December 2005.

After the huge success of Beethoven's Violin Concerto, published in 2002, violin queen Anne-Sophie Mutter decided to create another gem - the Tchaikovsky Concerto. The recording is again characterised by the inimitably intoxicating tone of the Stradivarius and an interpretation that breaks down conventions. The violin concerto by Brno-born Erich Wolfgang Korngold may be a child of the 20th century, but it is actually a synthesis as it combines a romantic ethos with modern tonal diction. The phenomenal violinist is accompanied by two excellent orchestras under the direction of her husband André Previn.
