Now 30, Spanish-German musician Alvaro Soler, who lived in Tokyo for seven years and speaks six languages, achieved success in 2015 that others have been waiting decades to achieve: More than 80 gold and platinum awards worldwide, two million albums sold, a total of over 2.5 billion audio streams and 1.5 billion streams of his music videos. On top of that, appearances with superstar J-Lo in Las Vegas and Miami, a judge on "X Factor" in Italy, a guest on the award-winning German TV show "Sing meinen Song - das Tauschkonzert" and also a coach on "The Voice Kids" 2021. All this needs to be processed first - which is why Alvaro Soler has taken time off in 2020 to write songs for his new album. The first songs began to emerge at the urging of fans: "Already in the summer I was getting messages like 'This year is so hard, why don't you release something', which made me realize again that this is why I make music. It's been incredibly fun to write songs just for the people you want to dance to. When a song does that to you, you know there's something right about it." In the spirit of sustainability, "Magia" is being released in a high-quality digisleeve without plastic.
