Product information Al DiMeola's second album Elegant Gypsy (1977) became one of the defining albums in the field of Fusion. While still a member of Return To Forever, DiMeola released his second solo album after Land Of The Midnight Sun, collaborating with jazz-rock greats Steve Gadd, Jan Hammer and Anthony Jackson. He even enlisted flamenco superstar Paco De Lucia for the track "Mediterranean Sundance," which foreshadows the style DiMeola eventually evolved into: Acoustic magic with a Latin twist. The album Elegant Gypsy was certified gold in the United States.
