In 2001, Air released their second album "10 000 Hz Legend", whose influence on their sound resonates to this day. The sound of the band, which took off in the mid-90s, has influenced and continues to influence several generations of musicians. Like Jean-Michel Jarre, Daft Punk and Phoenix, AIR is a symbol of the international triumph of the French sound. From their first meeting in Versailles in high school in the 1980s, before becoming members of AIR in the mid-1990s, Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel have created a body of work in which each album represents its own unique planet. AIR recorded "Moon Safari" (the follow-up to their debut EP "Premiers Symptômes" and their first international success in 1998), the soundtrack to Sofia Coppola's 2000 film "Virgin Suicides", which confirmed the group's status as timeless psych-pop artists with a cinematic dimension, the 2004 pop masterpiece "Talkie Walkie", as well as "Pocket Symphony" (2007), "Love 2" (2009) and the soundtrack to the revised version of Georges Mélie's film "Voyage to the Moon" (2012).
