The album was recorded in London and produced by Harry Vanda and George Young, who were also members of the Australian band Easybeats. T.N.T. was well received by critics and reached number three in the UK album chart. The album's title track was released as a single and reached number 5 in the UK singles chart. AC/DC T.N.T.'s hard rock style is evident on the album and the album is considered a classic of the genre.
