Accept: Stalingrad (Brothers In Death) version on CD in Standard edition. This particular edition was published in Europe in publishing company Nuclear Blast on 10. April 2012.
While they have circled the globe twice during this busy time, Wolf Hoffmann and co. still found the time and the muse to write a new album. The pressure is immense, but we know - ACCEPT the love and seek the challenges! No road is too far, no sacrifice too great for the perfect album, for the perfect show. And here is "Stalingrad" - a statement of unconditional will to win. Songs that were written in the sweat and haze of concert halls and hardened in the fire of the enthusiasm of hundreds of thousands of fans. With "Hung, Drawn And Quartered" and the title track, they enthusiastically open a new chapter in the heavy metal textbook. What other band than ACCEPT can etch themselves into the hearts of their fans with the first three seconds of a record? Grandiose! The thunderous riffs, the Cossack choruses, the gifted, classically inspired solos, the catchy choruses and the typical harsh, raspy vocals - the hallmarks of ACCEPT are more concise than ever on "Stalingrad". Of course, perfectly arranged by none other than star producer Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Exodus, Arch Enemy, Nevermore, Hell). Followed by the massive "Hellfire", the fast-paced "Flash To Bang Time", the stadium anthem "Shadow Soldiers" marching with big choruses, the fast-paced "Revolution"... One hit follows another! When you close your eyes, you can already feel the inimitable mixture of skin, sweat and euphoria. That's what heavy metal tastes like! Riff roller 'Against The World'! Autobiographical? Who could blame the band. Twist Of Fate' - tension, atmosphere... Goosebumps! "There are two kinds of people - 'The Quick and the Dead'!" This chorus will bite hard into your eardrums. For days! And the epic finale of "The Galley" with its insane solos makes the decision easy - REPEAT! "Stalingrad" is neither a product of an easy muse nor the work of set rockers marked by ageism. This disc will knock the air out of your lungs, conjure up sweat on your brow and hold a clenched fist under your nose. Perhaps the world's best riff forge contrasts perfectly with the magical solos from Wolf's pen, laced with classical music quotes. This harmony of opposites is the most important "heavy metal patent" that ACCEPT can claim, next to Cossack choirs and guitar ballet. With the song "Stalingrad", perhaps the most important classical heavy metal band in the world has not only a future, but also the stages of major festivals! ACCEPT that!(nuclearblast. de) Review "From zero to a thousand instantly ruthlessly riveting - with everything an Accept fan loves!" Rock It, Andreas Schöwe's "Stalingrad" is already in the running for the title of "Metal Album of the Year". RCN , J. A. ""Blood Of The Nations" was the metal album of 2010. "Stalingrad" is its worthy successor!" ROCK HARD, Götz Kühnemund "The second album of the new Accept era is by no means playing Russian roulette. "Stalingrad" reconciles "Teutonic terror" with anthemic Russian melodies in Wolf Hoffmann's gifted string playing and the band's signature Cossack choruses." LEGACY, Björn Thorsten Jaschinski "Typical Accept, yet never dusty: with "Stalingrad" the veterans show the newcomers how to write the upcoming classics!" HEAVY, Martin Römpp , "Hard riffs are presented in conjunction with remarkable melodies, alongside Tornillo's distinctive voice there are catchy choruses that carry the choruses. Nothing sounds routinely hackneyed, but fresh and with no real weaknesses." (Good Times, June/July 2012)
