Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup was an influential American Delta blues singer, songwriter, and guitarist, born on August 24, 1905, in Forest, Mississippi. Often referred to as "The Father of Rock 'n' Roll," he is best known for writing songs that would later become rock standards, particularly after being covered by Elvis Presley. His most famous song, "That's All Right," was recorded by Presley in 1954 and is considered a seminal rock and roll track.
