Emerging Indie Pop Duo

Downers & Milk are a 7-piece collective from Vienna with singer-songwriters Maxím Eczyk and Michael Varga at its core. Ignoring zeitgeist and categories they create timeless, handwrought music, blending atmospheric Americana, lavish Chamber Pop and fierce Post-Punk into darkly radiant 'Folk Noir'. Their style is often compared to The Bad Seeds or Tindersticks, while also a kinship to The Doors, Black Heart Procession or Leonard Cohen can be found. After releasing the EP 'ZOZO' in 2018 and a double A - side 7" ('Off By One / Lovers. Almost.') at the tail end of 2019, Downers & Milk released their debut album 'Songs of Fear and Flight' on February 26th, 2021.
