Blacklace

Blacklace is a heavy metal band that emerged from the United States in the early 1980s. They are known for being part of the wave of female-fronted metal bands that gained prominence during that era. The band was formed by vocalist Maryann Scandiffio and guitarist Carlo Fragnito. Blacklace released their debut album, "Unlaced," in 1984, which showcased a blend of hard rock and heavy metal with powerful vocals. They followed up with their second album, "Get It While It's Hot," in 1985. Despite a strong start and a dedicated fan base, Blacklace did not achieve widespread commercial success and eventually faded from the spotlight as the metal scene evolved. Their contribution to the metal genre, however, is noted for breaking gender barriers and paving the way for future female musicians in heavy metal.
