Zos Kia

Zos Kia

Experimental Industrial Music Collective

Zos Kia was a collaborative project that was formed by John Gosling (Mekon), John Balance (later of Coil) and Min – with guest Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson (also of Coil and Throbbing Gristle). The group was an early example of what would become known as industrial music, and their work laid some of the groundwork for the experimental sounds that would characterize the later projects of its members, particularly Coil. Zos Kia's music was often characterized by dark, ambient soundscapes and noise elements, exploring themes of the occult and the boundaries of consciousness. The project was relatively short-lived, but it had a significant impact on the post-industrial music scene and is remembered for its innovative approach to sound and its influence on subsequent artists within the genre.
