Lanterns On The Lake is an indie rock band from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Formed in 2007, the group consists of Hazel Wilde, Paul Gregory, Oliver Ketteringham, Bob Allan and Angela Chan. They are known for their ethereal and atmospheric sound, which often incorporates lush string arrangements and haunting vocals. The band released their debut album "Gracious Tide, Take Me Home" in 2011 to critical acclaim. They have since produced several more albums, including "Until The Colours Run" in 2013 and "Beings" in 2015. Their fourth studio album, "Spook The Herd," was released in February 2020 and continued to showcase their distinctive blend of dreamy indie rock with poignant lyrical themes. Additionally, they have an EP titled "The Realist," which further explores their sonic landscape.
