Dieter Moebius

German experimental electronic musician

Dieter Moebius was a Swiss-born musician and composer who was a key figure in the experimental and electronic music scenes. He was best known as a member of the influential krautrock bands Cluster and Harmonia, both of which played significant roles in the development of ambient and electronic music in the 1970s. Moebius collaborated with a variety of artists throughout his career, including Brian Eno, with whom he worked on the albums "Cluster & Eno" (1977) and "After The Heat" (1978). His work is characterized by innovative synthesizer textures and exploratory soundscapes. Moebius continued to produce music up until his death in 2015, leaving behind a legacy as an innovator in electronic music.
