Experimental Ambient Duo

Deux Filles was a project formed by Simon Fisher Turner, an English musician and composer, and Colin Lloyd Tucker, another English artist. The duo created music under the guise of two French girls, Claudine Coule and Gemini Forque, crafting a narrative around their personas to accompany their atmospheric and experimental music. Their work is characterized by its ethereal soundscapes and has been described as ambient or dream pop. The project's first two albums, "Silence & Wisdom" (1982) and "Double Happiness" (1983), were released back-to-back and later reissued together. After a long hiatus, Deux Filles returned with "Space & Time" in 2016 and "Shadow Farming" in 2020. The revival of Deux Filles has been well-received by fans of their earlier work, as well as by those discovering them for the first time, intrigued by the mystique of their conceptual presentation and the evocative quality of their music.
