Ash Ra Tempel

Ash Ra Tempel

German Experimental Krautrock Group

Ash Ra Tempel was a pioneering German band that played a significant role in the development of the krautrock genre during the early 1970s. The group was formed by guitarist Manuel Göttsching, bassist Hartmut Enke, and drummer Klaus Schulze, who had previously been a member of Tangerine Dream. Their self-titled debut album "Ash Ra Tempel," released in 1971, is considered a classic in the krautrock genre, featuring long, improvisational pieces that blended elements of psychedelic rock, space rock, and avant-garde electronic music.
