Alberto Ginastera was an Argentine composer considered one of the most important 20th-century classical composers of the Americas. Born on April 11, 1916, in Buenos Aires, he studied at the Williams Conservatory and later at the National Conservatory of Music in his home city. His music is often divided into three periods: objective nationalism (1934-1948), subjective nationalism (1948-1958), and neo-expressionism (1958-1983). Ginastera's works were influenced by Argentine folk music, which he incorporated into his compositions, creating a distinctive blend of avant-garde techniques and traditional sounds.
