UK record label formed in 1997 after Andy Macdonald (3) sold his first label Go! Discs to PolyGram in 1996. Independiente met success in the late '90s and early '00s with acts like Travis or Paul Weller. It stopped releasing new singles and albums in 2009, becoming a catalogue management company. It was acquired by Concord Bicycle Music in 2018. The label itself is now dormant; most of the newest reissues of its releases are now bearing Craft Recordings logo only.
