Wolfgang Flür

Wolfgang Flür

German Electronic Music Pioneer

Wolfgang Flür is best known as a former member of the pioneering electronic music band Kraftwerk. He played with the group from 1973 until 1987, contributing to the development of their distinctive robotic, rhythmic sound that would influence countless artists and genres in the years to come. Flür was primarily responsible for electronic percussion in Kraftwerk during his tenure, which included the creation and release of seminal albums such as "Autobahn," "Radio-Activity," "Trans-Europe Express," "The Man-Machine," and "Computer World." After leaving Kraftwerk, Flür continued his career in music, exploring various projects. His solo work includes the album "Eloquence," which is a collection of his complete works and showcases his continued interest in electronic music. Flür's contributions to electronic music have been significant, and his work both within and outside of Kraftwerk has cemented his reputation as an innovator in the genre.
