Vernon Elliott

British Composer and Bassoonist

Born : 27 July 1912 Died : 12 October 1996 British bassoonist, conductor and composer. He was a founder member of the Philharmonia Orchestra, a member of Benjamin Britten's English Opera Group orchestra, conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra AND professor at Trinity College of Music in London. He composed the music to the Smallfilms productions of Noggin the Nog, The Seal of Neptune, Pogles' Wood, Pingwings and Clangers.
