The Avison Ensemble is a renowned period instrument orchestra that specializes in the performance of Baroque and early Classical music. Named after the 18th-century English composer Charles Avison, the ensemble is dedicated to presenting historically informed performances that reflect the practices and styles of the time in which the music was composed. The group has gained recognition for its interpretations of works by composers such as Arcangelo Corelli, Francesco Geminiani, and Antonio Vivaldi, among others. The Avison Ensemble's discography includes critically acclaimed recordings of Vivaldi's "Il Cimento Dell'armonia E Dell'inventione, Op. 8," which contains the famous "The Four Seasons" concertos.
