Atmospheric Depressive Black Metal Project

Sadness is a one-man atmospheric black metal project that was started by Damián Antón Ojeda in 2014. The project is known for its fusion of black metal with elements of shoegaze and post-rock, creating melancholic and emotive soundscapes. Sadness has been prolific in its output, releasing numerous albums and EPs that have garnered attention within the underground metal community. The music often features expansive compositions with a focus on atmosphere and emotion, characterized by the use of reverb-laden guitars, ethereal synths, and screamed vocals. The project's discography includes a variety of releases that explore themes of sorrow, nature, and introspection. While Sadness has collaborated with other artists, such as Unreqvited, it remains primarily a solo endeavor with Ojeda handling the majority of the writing, performing, and production duties.
