Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra

Radion Sinfoniaorkesteri, known in English as the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra (FRSO), is the orchestra of the Finnish Broadcasting Company (Yle). It was founded in 1927 and has since established itself as one of Finland's most prominent orchestras. The FRSO specializes in performing classical and contemporary music and has a strong commitment to showcasing new works by Finnish composers. The orchestra has been led by a number of esteemed conductors over the years, including its current chief conductor, Hannu Lintu. The FRSO regularly performs at the Helsinki Music Centre and also broadcasts concerts on Yle Radio 1, ensuring that their music reaches a wide audience both in Finland and internationally.
