Nightingale is a Swedish progressive rock/metal band that was formed by Dan Swanö in 1995. Initially, Nightingale began as a solo gothic rock project for Swanö, who is known for his work in the death metal scene, particularly with the band Edge of Sanity. However, over time, Nightingale evolved into a full band and shifted towards a more melodic and progressive sound. The band's lineup has included Dan's brother Dag Swanö (also known as Tom Nouga), Erik Oskarsson, and Tom Björn. Throughout their career, Nightingale has released several albums and has been recognized for their blend of melodic harmonies, progressive elements, and accessible rock sensibilities."
