Missing Persons

Missing Persons

80s New Wave and Pop Rock Band

Missing Persons is an American new wave band that formed in Los Angeles in 1980. The group was founded by drummer Terry Bozzio, vocalist Dale Bozzio, and guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, with bassist Patrick O'Hearn and keyboardist Chuck Wild later joining the lineup. Dale's quirky voice and heavy makeup made her a visual icon of the era. The band released their debut album, "Spring Session M," in 1982, which quickly became a hit due to the success of singles like "Words," "Destination Unknown," and "Walking in L.A." Their music was characterized by a mix of new wave, pop, and rock with an emphasis on synthesizers and intricate drum patterns.
