Maanam was a prominent Polish rock band that formed in 1976, originally under the name Maanam Elektryczny Prysznic (Maanam Electric Shower). The group was founded by Marek Jackowski, Kora (Olga Jackowska), and Milo Kurtis. They quickly became one of Poland's most popular musical acts with their unique blend of rock, punk, and new wave influences. Kora's distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence played a significant role in the band's success. Throughout their career, Maanam released numerous albums and hit singles, becoming a staple of the Polish music scene. They were known for their energetic performances and the poetic lyrics of their songs. The band underwent several lineup changes over the years but remained active and influential until they disbanded in 2008 following their farewell tour.
