Japanese all-female heavy metal band

Lovebites is an all-female Japanese heavy metal band that formed in 2016. The group quickly gained recognition for their powerful sound and technical proficiency. The band's lineup consists of Asami on vocals, Midori and Miyako on guitars, Miho on the bass, and Haruna on drums. They released their debut EP, "The Lovebites EP," in 2017, which was followed by their first full-length album "Awakening From Abyss" in the same year. Their subsequent albums, "Clockwork Immortality" in 2018 and "Electric Pentagram" in 2020, further established them in the metal scene. Lovebites has been noted for their blend of classic heavy metal with modern power metal elements, and they have received accolades for their work, including winning the Best New Band award at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards in 2018. The band has also made a significant impact internationally, embarking on tours outside of Japan and participating in global music festivals.
