Japanese all-female rock band

Band-Maid is an all-female Japanese rock band that has been gaining international recognition for their unique blend of hard rock and a maid-themed image. Formed in Tokyo in 2013, the group consists of lead vocalist Saiki Atsumi, guitarist and vocalist Miku Kobato, lead guitarist Kanami Tōno, bassist Misa, and drummer Akane Hirose. The band's concept is based on Japanese maid cafés, where the members dress in maid costumes, refer to their fans as "masters" and "princesses," and combine this aesthetic with a powerful and aggressive musical style.
