Louis-Claude Daquin

Baroque-era French composer and organist

Louis-Claude Daquin was a French composer of the Baroque era, born on July 4, 1694, in Paris. He was a musical prodigy and performed for the court of King Louis XIV at the tender age of six. Daquin was known for his skill as an organist, harpsichordist, and composer. In 1722, he was appointed organist at the Church of Saint Paul in Paris, and later he became the organist at the Chapel Royal in 1739.
