Liv Kristine is a Norwegian singer and songwriter, best known as the former lead vocalist for the gothic metal band Theatre of Tragedy, and later for her work with the band Leaves' Eyes. Her music career began in the mid-1990s with Theatre of Tragedy, where her soprano voice became a trademark of the band's sound, particularly on albums like "Velvet Darkness They Fear" and "Aégis." In 2003, Liv Kristine embarked on a solo career and released her debut album "Deus Ex Machina." Her solo work showcases a variety of musical styles, including pop and folk influences, which is a departure from the heavier gothic metal sound of her earlier work.
